Breakers waive Elise Krieghoff
The Boston Breakers have waived forward Elise Krieghoff, the team announced Wednesday.
Krieghoff, 23, signed as a discovery player April 26, played six games, scoring once, in a 4-1 loss at Houston on Sept. 11, in her rookie season.
“We would like to thank Elise for her hard work and dedication this past season,” Breakers president of soccer operations and development Lee Billiard said. “We wish her all the best in the future and hope she is able to continue her development.”
Krieghoff played at Cal Poly-SLO, scoring a school record 52 goals and being named one of five Senior CLASS Award first team All-Americas.
