Revolution vs. Independence rematch possible


FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Revolution could be set for a rematch with the Charlotte Independence in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup, tournament organizers announced Thursday night.

The independence, which defeated the Revolution, 1-0, in Allston, Mass., last year, visits the Carolina RailHawks in a third-round match Wednesday June 1. The winner of that game will play host to the Revolution, the 2007 U.S. Open Cup champion.
