AMHERST, Mass. -- The UMass menís team surrendered a 90th-minute goal in falling, 2-1, to Albany at Rudd Field Tuesday.

UMass (0-5-1) took the 1-0 lead on a 15th-minute Ty Gonsalves 20-yarder that deflected in off Danny Vitiello. Alex DeSantis nearly doubled the lead with a shot off the post in the 28th minute.

Afonso Pinheiro tied the match in the 63rd minute off a feed from Moosah Khanat, evading a charging Jorge Becerra, who made three saves, to finish into an empty net.

UMass had shots blocked in the 88th minute, Albany (2-2-1) gaining possession and earning two 90th-minute corners. Daniel Krutzen sent the corner to Khanat for a shot from outside the penalty area, Carlos Clark re-directing in with 23 seconds on the clock.
