Revolution visiting Rapids for 2017 opener

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Revolution will open the season on the road for the 21st time in 22 MLS seasons when they visit the Colorado Rapids for a 6 p.m. Saturday, March 4 kickoff, the league announced Wednesday.

The Revolution, who will meet Orlando City SC in their home-opener at 2 p.m. Saturday March 11, have played the season-opener at home once a 3-0 win over Houston in 2008. The previous earliest Revolution home-opener was last March 12, a 0-0 draw with D.C. United. The Revolution have a 12-5-4 record and a 10-match (6-0-4) unbeaten streak in home-openers.
