Revolution trade Bobby Shuttleworth, re-acquire Femi Hollinger-Janzen

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Revolution have traded goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth to Minnesota United in exchange for forward Femi Hollinger-Janzen, the team announced Wednesday.

Shuttleworth, 29, made 127 appearances (124 starts) and had a 46-53-28 regular season record for the Revolution from 2009-16.

Shuttleworth, a Tonawanda, N.Y., native, who made 20 starts last season, played for the Revolution during their run to the 2014 MLS Cup final, tying a team record with 16 wins.

Hollinger-Janzen, 23, scored two goals for the Revolution last season, then was selected by Minnesota in the expansion draft.

“The entire New England Revolution organization thanks Bobby for his years of service,” Revolution general manager Michael Burns said. “We wish him well in the next phase of his career with Minnesota. We are pleased to have Femi back on the roster for the 2017 season and look forward to welcoming him back to the club.”
