USA-Costa Rica WCQ match is a sellout

More than a month before kickoff, the United States’ first home match of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying hexagonal is a sellout.

Many of the tickets for the March 22 match against Costa Rica (10 pm ET, ESPN, WatchESPN and UniMas) at Dick’s Sporting Park in Commerce City, Colo. went in an advance sale for U.S. Soccer Supporters Club members, Colorado Rapids season ticket holders and Visa cardholders. The remainder were made available to the general public, and sold out within one hour.

The match is officially a sellout, although a limited number of tickets are still available as part of VIP or travel packages. Information is available by calling 800-736-6377.

The U.S. is part of the six-team Hexagonal along with Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico and Panama.

The 10-game, round-robin format will be contested through Oct.15. The top three teams will advance to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, while the fourth-place team will compete in a two-leg playoff against the Oceania champion.
