More changes for U.S. National Team

CHICAGO - U.S. Men's National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added midfielder Brad Davis, defender Clarence Goodson and forward Chris Wondolowski to the training camp roster. The trio will join camp Thursday afternoon in Kansas City, bringing the roster to 22 players.

Wondolowski replaces Eddie Johnson, who suffered a left groin strain during Wednesday's training session. Johnson will undergo an MRI evaluation.

All three players saw action in MLS Wednesday night, with Davis' Houston Dynamo drawing 0-0 with Sporting Kansas City. Wondolowski scored the game-winner and Goodson went 90 minutes as the San Jose Earthquakes picked up a 1-0 win against the Colorado Rapids. Both the Dynamo and the Earthquakes are idle this weekend.

Davis has six U.S. MNT appearances in 2013, including three FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. He entered as a substitute in the historic 0-0 draw against Mexico on March 22 at Estadio Azteca.

Goodson has 43 caps and five goals to his credit, and he was a starter on the squad that captured the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup championship. His most recent appearance came in the 2-0 win against Mexico on Sept. 10 in Columbus that secured the USA's spot in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Wondolowski went on a tear during the 2013 Gold Cup, scoring five goals to earn a share of the Golden Boot as the tournament's top scorer along with Landon Donovan and Gabriel Torres of Panama. His scoring tally in the group stage included a hat trick in the 6-1 win against Belize, and then a brace four days later when the U.S. collected a 4-1 win against Cuba.

The U.S. closes out the Hexagonal with a home match against Jamaica on Oct. 11 in Kansas City (5:30 p.m. CT/6:30 ET ESPN) , before completing the campaign on the road against Panama on Oct. 15 in Panama City (8:30 p.m. CT/9:30 ET, beIN SPORT)..
