Sounders' Brad Evans called in to Carson

Seattle Sounders defender Brad Evans is back with the U.S. national team, U.S. Soccer announced Monday.

Evans, 30, made his USMNT debut in 2009 and has 25 caps. In qualifying for the 2014 World Cup, Evans scored his only international goal as the U.S. defeated Jamaica, 2-1, its first road victory ever over the Reggae Boyz. Evans appeared in five matches in the final round of World Cup qualifying.

Evans, the Sounders’ captain, appeared in eight matches for the USMNT in 2015, four in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The camp in Carson, Calif., runs until Feb. 6 and features a mix of senior and Under-23 internationals, with friendlies at the StubHub Center against Iceland Jan. 31 and Canada Feb. 5.
