YELLOW CARD SUSPENSION
Howard out of El Salvador away match

Columbus, Ohio -- Brad Guzan, get prepared to play in Central America. Regular U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard will be out of action in that match with a yellow-card suspension.

Howard was shown a yellow card by referee Carlos Batres (Guatemala) for delay of game in the 67th minute of the U.S.'s 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Mexico. That was his second yellow card of qualifying, which means he will be suspended from the March 28 game in El Salvador.

Howard received a yellow card in the 1-0 win over Guatemala last August.

He will be able to play against Trinidad & Tobago in Nashville on April 1.

Howard performed with the MetroStars from 1998-2003, before signing with Manchester City in the English Premiership. Howard currently plays for Everton.
