U.S. earns an ESPY for Spain stunner


Los Angeles -- The U.S. National Team was named winner of the Best Upset award at the ESPYs at the Nokia Theatre on Wednesday night.

Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan, who will play against the Red Bulls at Giants Stadium on Thursday night, accepted the award for his National Teammates.

The Americans earned the honor for their 2-0 upset of top-ranked Spain in the semifinals of the FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa last month.

The 17th annual ESPYs will be televised on ESPN on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
