U.S.-Mexico WCQ on mun2 on Aug. 12

More U.S. Soccer fans around the country will have the opportunity to watch the U.S. National Team's crucial World Cup qualifier against Mexico on August 12 in English.

NBC Universal has announced it is offering mun2 as a free preview that day to all distribution partners. DirecTV and Dish Network have agreed to unlock mun2 on August 12, providing greater access to the channel to watch the English-language broadcast of the match, which kicks off at 4:00 pm ET.

Mun2 is listed as channel 410 on DirecTV and channel 838 on Dish Network. Fans should check their local listings to confirm channel listings as the above information is subject to change.

This will be the first-ever live sporting event to air on Telemundo and mun2 simultaneously and the first time mun2 broadcasts a major sporting event.

Veteran soccer broadcaster Phil Schoen will handle play-by-play and former U.S. National team defender and Soccer Hall of Famer Marcelo Balboa will do the color.
