Donovan tested for H1N1 Flu

According to a report on Si.com, Landon Donovan has tested positive for the H1N1 flu virus, commonly referred to as swine flu.

Donovan told SI.com he felt ill when he arrived in Miami to join the U.S. National Team ahead of Wednesday’s World Cup loss to Mexico.

A doctor confirmed the illness after taking a swab test from Donovan’s nose.

Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena gave Donovan, David Beckham and Chris Birchall the day off from practice on Friday to recuperate from their recent international trips.

The Galaxy plays the Seattle Sounders at Home Depot center on Saturday.

"I haven't felt that way in a game in a long time," Donovan told SI. "I just felt lethargic, slow. I didn't feel normal."
