Boston area players at men's U-20 training camp


Three Boston area players have been invited to the U.S. Men's Under-20 National Team's training camp at the U.S. Olympic training center in Chula Vista, Calif. from Dec. 16-23.

They are:
* Boston College goalkeeper Justin Luthy
* Boston College midfielder Colin Murphy
* Birmingham City midfielder Will Packwood who hails from Concord, Mass.

They were among 36 players called in by coach Thomas Rongen from professional clubs, college and youth teams. The camp is the first for Rongen that is made up exclusively of players born in 1991 or later, making them age-eligible for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
