Wegner: Donovan knows what to expect

U.S. international and Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan could very well make his English Premier League debut for Everton against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in London Saturday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wegner feels the third time could be the charm for the 27-year-old Donovan, who failed in two separate stints at Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

"He is an interesting case as well because he was already in Europe [before]," Wenger said. "He was at Bayer Leverkusen, didnít make it and went back [to the US] and came back now and now will he make it or not? Nobody knows.

"But it happens many times that the players from America, South or North, they come to Europe, donít make it straight away and when they come back they make it [the second time]. Sometimes they know better what will be expected, they adapt better and they are a bit more mature as well."

Cold weather in England already has wreaked havoc with the EPL schedule as already five games have been postponed this weekend.

Wenger hopes that the match will go on after stadium officials called off Wednesday's game vs. Bolton four hours prior to kickoff.
