U.S.'s Rogers replaces Edu for Mexico

Columbus Crew midfielder Robbie Rogers is in and Maurice Edu is out of the U.S. for Wednesday's international friendly vs. Mexico in Philadelphia.

Edu suffered a left calf strain in the first half of Rangers friendly against Chelsea on Saturday.

Rogers, named to the 30-man preliminary roster for the 2010 World Cup, enjoyed a memorable first year with the National Team in 2009 when he earned his first appearance (Jan. 24), first goal (July 4), and his first cap in World Cup qualifying (Oct. 14).

He also recorded three assists, most memorably when he supplied the corner for Jonathan Bornstein'ís stoppage-time header against Costa Rica at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 14.
