FC DALLAS KICKS OUT ATLANTA
Antoniuk gets goal, red card


FC Dallas took a penalty kick victory over the Atlanta Silverbacks after their U.S. Open Cup match finished in a 1-1 tie Monday night in Frisco, Texas,

Carlos Ruiz' 74th-minute goal gave Dallas the lead and former Wheaton College star Dan Antoniuk's 78th-minute free kick tied the game. Antoniuk was ejected four minutes later by referee Colin Tait after defender Drew Moor in retaliation while both players were on the ground.

Arturo Alvarez converted the deciding penalty for FC Dallas, which next meets either the Charleston Battery or Houston Dynamo in the quarterfinals.
