A SILVER LINING
Wambach wins Silver Boot as No. 2 goalscorer


Shanghai, China -- U.S. striker Abby Wambach won the Silver Boot as the second leading scorer of the World Cup.

Wambach, who connected twice in the Americans' 4-1 victory over Norway in the third-place match Sunday night, scored six goals.

Brazil forward Marta, who finished with a tournament-high seven goals, was named the Golden Boot winner. She also won the Golden Ball as the top player of the competition, although she did not score in the final.

Norway's Ragnhild Gulbrandsen was the Bronze Boot winner.

Germany forward Birgit Prinz was named winner of the Silver Boot.
