U.S. women vs. Canada May 10
WASHINGTON, DC---The U.S. Women’s National Team returns to Washington, D.C., for the first time since 2003 to take on Canada Saturday, May 10, at RFK Stadium in preparation for the Beijing Olympics.
The U.S. and Canada will represent CONCACAF at the Summer Games after completing successful qualifying campaigns in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico last week. The Americans outlasted the Canadians in a shootout to capture the CONCACAF title Saturday.
The Olympic women’s soccer competition will be played in five Chinese cities Aug. 6-21.
The Canada match will be the third in three weekends for the Americans, who also will host Australia in Cary, N.C. April 27, and in Birmingham, Ala. May 3.
