U.S. women bring in 25 players into camp

With Olympic qualifying behind the team, U.S. Womenís National Team coach Pia Sundhage will bring 25 players on a three-week, three-city, three-game road trip for the team's first domestic matches of the year.

All 25 players will travel and train in the three cities, but Sundhage will suit up only 18 players for each match.

The U.S. opens the tour against Australia at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. at 7 p.m. ET April 27. The Americans will then travel to Birmingham, Ala. to face Australia at the famed Legion Field May 3 at 5 p.m. ET. They will finish the tour against Canada at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. May 10 at 7 p.m. ET.

The match from Birmingham will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel and the three matches will be available on ussoccer.comís MatchTracker.

Two former members of the WUSA's Boston Breakers, Kate Markgraf and Angela Hucles are on the roster.

The U.S. women are 10-0-1 under Sundhage this year, having won tournaments in China in January, Portugal in March and Mexico (Olympic qualifying) in April.

All of the players who have been training and playing regularly with the team the past few months will be competing for spots on the 18-player game rosters, with the exception of midfielder Angie Woznuk, who is still rehabbing a back injury.

A pair of 2004 Olympic gold medalists are back with the team after prolonged absences. Midfielder Aly Wagner has recovered from a double-hernia surgery in late January. Defender Heather Mitts missed out on Olympic qualifying while taking the final steps back to fitness during her recovery from ACL surgery.
