Shooting incident at U.S. women's hotel in Vancouver

VANCOUVER---U.S. Soccer on Wednesday morning said the players and the entire delegation was fine after a Tuesday night shooting inside the Bar One restaurant at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Center, where the team is staying.

Vancouver police said that around 8:45 p.m. PT on Tuesday there was a shooting. No player witnessed the incident, U.S. Soccer said.

The U.S. women will kick off their participation in the CONCACAF women's Olympic qualifying tournament at the B.C. Center on Friday.

U.S. Soccer said that it has taken the proper precautions to ensure the safety of the team for the rest of the competition. The tournament kicks off Thursday and continues through Jan. 29.
