Shapiro-Thompson off to national camp

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution Under-14 midfielder Amos Shapiro-Thompson (Worthington, Mass.) is one of 32 players called in for a week-long training camp by U.S. U-14 Boys National Team head coach Tony Lepore. The camp runs from March 22-30 at U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center in Carson, Calif.

“We’re pleased Amos has earned another look by the national team staff,” Revolution director of youth development Bryan Scales said. “He showed well at the last camp he attended, and we hope he continues his development, both with us and in the national team program.”

Shapiro-Thompson, 14, will be making his second U-14 camp appearance, after being selected for a camp in early February. In his first season with the Revolution’s U-14s, Shapiro-Thompson made eight appearances in the fall portion of the 2013-14 season, scoring one goal with three assists.
