KINGSTON, Jamaica — Alex Nimo scored two goals while Ellis McLoughlin tallied once as the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team opened Group B of the 2007 CONCACAF Final Round Qualifying Tournament with a 3-0 shutout over Trinidad & Tobago at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. The U-17's sit in third place in the five-team group with a game in hand.

CHICAGO– United States Under-17 Men’s National Team head coach John Hackworth has announced the 20-man roster that will represent the U.S. at the CONCACAF Under-17 Final Round Group B Qualifying Tournament from April 28-May 6 in Kingston, Jamaica. Sheanon Williams of the FC Boston Bolts is the only area player named to the squad.

U-17 WNT to Florida; U-17 Men to N.Ireland
The U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team, under new head coach Dean Duerst, opened training camp last weekend in Sunrise, Fla., with 24 players. The camp will run until April 21, during which time the team will scrimmage the University of Miami as well as several boys club teams. The match against Miami will take place on Tuesday, April 17, in Coral Gables, with a kickoff of 5:30 p.m. ET. This will be Duerst’s first camp officially at the helm, after running the previous training camp as the interim head coach.

21 Teams booked for Canada
OTTAWA, Ontario– Only three more spots are open in the qualifications for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada. Twenty-one countries have now qualified for the Jun. 30-Jul. 22 tournament which takes place in six Canadian cities: Victoria, Burnaby, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal.

The field for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada this summer is coming closer to completion. With their youth championships still in play, four more countries have qualified. Brazil and Uruguay are the first two countries through from the South American U-20 Championship while The Gambia and Congo are the first two countries through from the African Youth Championships.

STAVENGER, Norway – The U.S. Under-21 Women’s National Team fell to Germany, 2-0, in the championship game of the 2006 Nordic Cup in yet another meeting of the world’s top two women’s soccer nations. Germany got a goal in each half, including a late clincher just four minutes from the end, to hand the USA its first loss in a Nordic Cup title game since 1997.

SANDNES, Norway–The U.S. Under-21 Women’s National Team used three goals from Danesha Adams to defeat Norway, 4-0, at the 2006 Nordic Cup and advance to the championship game for the ninth consecutive year. The USA will face Group A winners Germany in the title game on July 22 at Viking Stadium in Stavanger.
